Introduction\nThe Thomas B. Finan Center, a multi-purpose psychiatric facility operating 88 beds, is a primary inpatient component of the Maryland Department of Health servicing the citizens of Maryland. Specialized evaluation and treatment services are available for adult and geriatric psychiatric patients.\n\n\n\n\nThis position is in a 40-hour compressed work week consisting of a combination of 8's/12's.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGRADE20\nLOCATION OF POSITION10102 Country Club Road\nCumberland, MD 21502\n\n\nThis position is located 2.5 hrs. West of Baltimore.\nMain Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this position is to provide general nursing including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of care given for a single shift to approximately 24 mentally ill patients. This position gives guidance to licensed practical nurses and direct care staff. This position may be assigned to any shift or unit to provide necessary coverage. All work is performed in accordance with established policy and procedures and professional practices.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.\nExperience: None. \nLICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence. \n2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. \n3. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training. \nSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS1. Employees in this classification are subject to call-in and, therefore, will be required to provide the facility with a phone number at which they can be reached. \n2.
