Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Clinical Program Coordinator Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years required, experience in thrombectomy stroke center or comprehensive stroke center highly preferred License: CA RN Certifications: Basic Life Support (AHA certified) Must-Have: Epic experience preferred; ability to go in for lab work within 3-5 days of signing; valid state license required Job Description: - Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct the operation of a stroke clinical nursing program. - Oversee the execution of procedures and adherence to proper stroke protocols. - Develop and/or administer performance improvement initiatives for the stroke program. - Assume responsibility for program quality and compliance, education, and competency of nursing staff. - Serve as a clinical and educational consultant to the nursing staff, medical staff, management, patients, and other healthcare team members regarding the program. - Provide direct patient care as needed, on an irregular basis. - Possible expectation to work weekends. - Orientation is 16 hours. Additional requirements: Candidates must meet a 50-mile travel requirement. Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate compared to travelers.
