*BONUS ELIGIBLE POSITION* Registered Nurse Job, 8 hour Days Shifts (10a-6:30p) with call, No weekends, No holidays, Community Surgery Center-Outpatient Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Community Surgery Center to work Monday-Friday Days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. The Community Surgery Center Out-Patient Unit is an embodied staff of nurses who shall render professional nursing care to patients of all ages. The RN facilitates all aspects of the surgical patient#s care, which includes pre-operative interviews and testing, result retrieval, the anesthesia interview process, and post-anesthesia and discharge care. Provides pre-operative patient and family education to the surgical population. Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process. Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Community Healthcare System policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of#CHS#by providing the highest quality care. Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship. Required Skills # Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.# Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.# BSN preferred.# Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas. Obtains and maintains current CPR. 1-2 years Critical Care, and/or Recovery experience preferred.
