DescriptionOverviewDevelopmental Disabilities Institute, DDI, is one of the largest providers of care to children and adults with Autism, developmental disabilities and other special needs. DDI has been a part of Long Island for over 50 years serving over 1,500 children and adults with Autism, other developmental disabilities and special needs. DDI provides innovative and expansive services to our population through various educational settings, residential services, day habilitation programs and vocational services.Salary Range: $ $65,561.60 to $78,673.92Responsibilities:Serves as medical liaison for IDT team, ensuring proper medical follow up.Preforms telephone triage.Assesses injuries/accidents to ensure individuals receive proper medical care.Implements written plan for each person. Modifies nursing plan as necessary.Maintains medical records for each individual including comprehensive physical examination, immunizations & diets.Ensure proper medical follow-up through on call system.Ensures all medications are administered and stored as necessaryAttends monthly nurses meetingCompletes appropriate incident reporting paperwork required.Ensures compliance with OPWDD regulatory standards.Liaison with family members regarding medical issues.Preparation of monthly medications administration records.Preforms AMAP observation & pouring's.Educates DSP staff regarding Plans of Nursing ServicesQualifications:N.Y. State Registered Nurse License RequiredN.Y.
