Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse - Emergency Room provides compassionate, high-quality care to a predominantly geriatric patient population, utilizing a patient-centered approach.This role involves the full scope of nursing responsibilities, from assessment and planning to implementing and evaluating care. The RN also educates patients, oversees support staff, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients with complex health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care through assessments, planning, and implementing tailored care plans for geriatric patients.
- Evaluate patient outcomes to ensure high standards of emergency care are met.
- Direct and guide patient education, support staff activities, and ensure adherence to professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for geriatric patients with complex health conditions.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification for enhanced trauma care skills and competency in emergency situations.
