Description:REGISTERED NURSE, ER, FT, DAYSPiedmont Newton Emergency Department Pre-shift huddle at 0650 and 1850 for the oncoming shiftsUtilizes A.I.D.E.T and patient communication boardsCompliance with our quality initiatives.Utilizesnurse selected order sets based off of provider approved order setsNurse patient ratios of 4:1Charge nurse with limited patient load to facilitate daily operationsPatient care techs to assist with careUtilizes a provider in triage during peak volumesUnit based educator to provide hands on learningSelf schedulingEPIC Charting SystemOpportunity for growth and developmentIn May 2019, Piedmont Newton completed a $10 million expansion and renovation of the Emergency Department. The project doubled the departments capacity from 16 beds to 32 beds, created two additional team centers, and a room for higher acuity trauma cases.
