Sign On Bonus: $5,000 Sign On Bonus is offered for RNs, 50% paid out at 90 Days, and the other 50% at 6 months. 45 day guarantee- placement fee is refunded if clinician is termed within 45 days Wage Range: $34 - $42/hr BLS, ACLS, ENPC, and PALS Preferred. Level 5 Trauma center, receives strokes and Stemis, must be willing to work independently and start IVs. 4 bed ER, 2 Trauma Bays. 12 hour night or day/night rotate shifts Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center? Level 5 trauma center, We do receive STEMIs and Strokes # Beds/Trauma Bays 4, 2 Do you have a Fast Track? Do you have a separate Triage area? If so, do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? No Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? We don't hold ED patients except for delayed transfers (a few hours) or repeat Lab work. Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? No Monit On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day? 6-15 Nurse:Patient Ratios 1 Nurse on at a time Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS?) BLS, ACLS, ENPC, (PALS preferred) Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Standard ED patients with a multitude of ailments and injuries. Experience or 'Must have' skills: Usual ED Nursing skills, kindness, empathy, time management, critical thinking skills, IV skills, monitor skills, flexibility, understanding, professionalism. Common drips: NS, LR, ABX, occasional Cardizem and insulin gtts ED Physician &/or Mid-Levels staffed? Generally how many are on at a time? All midlevel staffing with NPs. 1 at a time and they are in-house 24/7. Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? ED Nurse is the Patient Care Coordinator that provides back-up assistance to Med/Surg when the ED is empty. Are there nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters on each shift? Ratios? Duties? CNAs on Med/Surg and Paramedics are occasionally available to assist in the ED in times of high volume or acuity Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG's, breathing Tx, & EKG's? No RT RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? CRNA will come in and assist when needed. VERY limited use of vents, CPaP and BiPaP. Do you have Tele/Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the Tele monitors? No X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Transport across the hall to Radiology. Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RNs draw? Lab, unless an IV is being started and the Nurse feels comfortable with drawing off of the IV start. Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Self scheduling with guidelines. 12 hour shifts (645-715) Weekend Requirements 2 of 6 Holiday Requirements Every other Is there call or a standby requirement? Only if Low Counted Floating Requirements To Acute (med/Surg) Scrub Color/Dress Code Any color as long as it is clean and fits appropriately.
