Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and thecommunity. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementingand evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of thelicensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit. Specifically the registered nurse performs as a bedside nurse, teacher, medication nurse and care coordinator. The RegisteredNurse exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and actsin accordance with Upstate policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered RN. Prior experience in acute care strongly preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
