Job Description:Delivers care to patients intraoperatively, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the surgical patient and health team member while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Primary nursing duties include but not limited to: circulating procedures with the responsibility of the operation of the room, scrubbing of procedures, assisting the surgeon and/or anesthesia providers, and occasional care of pre and post anesthesia patients. Provides high quality care to patients of any age undergoing surgical procedures in the following specialties: ENT, General, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, and OB/GynecologyQualifications:Required: Associates degree in nursing (ADN)Health care experience within the last 5 yearsACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hireOrganizational and communication skills
Preferred: OR ExperienceElectronic documentation / keyboarding experience
