Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments but are not in a critical condition. The IMC RN will monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed.
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and recovery expectations.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
Respond to changes in patient condition and provide appropriate interventions.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in New York.
Experience in an Intermediate Care Unit or similar setting preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
