Unit is Long Term Care (LTC).**THIS POSTING WILL BE USED FOR PART TIME** Why does the job exist?Incumbent will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to CNA's and for the implementation and direction of all nursing activities towards common hospital goals. Incumbent will provide nursing care to meet the needs of the patients on Evergreen one of our Long Term Care units. How does it get done?Incumbent will administration of all types of medications to include oral and injectable for the purpose of relieving anxiety, controlling behavior and treating physical problems. Performs various treatments ordered by the physician in order to assure patient's optimal physical and mental wellbeing. Who are the customers?Patients/Residents/Clients Ideal CandidateIdeal candidate will have: Experience in providing comprehensive nursing care; Experience in administration of all types of medications; Experience working with treatment teams. Minimum QualificationMust possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and five (5) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required experience. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA). Working ConditionsThis position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual /Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations required. Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/ E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Unit is Long Term Care. Shift is 1 pm to 11 pm.
