Four Winds Hospital is seeking full-time/part time experienced inpatient and outpatient Registered Nurses and new nursing graduates!!

Inpatient RNs

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible and accountable to prescribe, delegate and coordinate all nursing care provided on his/her assigned unit. S/he will provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on assigned unit and will be cross-trained to support behaviors necessary for all other age groups. S/he also acts as a role model both to the patient and ancillary nursing staff, as a health educator to the patient and to his/her family, and as collaborator and communicator with other members of the interdisciplinary team.

We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurse applicants for this full-time position in our Behavioral Health Outpatient Services.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating the medical/health needs of patients and completing nursing assessments
• Nursing care plans
• Providing urgent/ emergent medical care
• Coordinating with primary care providers as needed
• Obtaining clinical information and arranging intake appointments
• Conducting educational and skills groups as assigned
• Maintaining prescribers daily medical log.
• Some tele-mental health duties.

Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing, currently licensed to practice as a registered professional nurse in the New York State. Graduate nurses awaiting licensure will be able to practice under the supervision of a licensed RN. Prior experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred.

The schedule is Monday Friday, 8am 4pm. No holidays or weekends. On-call responsibilities on rotation.

The starting RN pay rate $34.81/hours plus additional compensation for years of experience.
