We have 18 communities in five states including MI, NY, NC, OH and PA.Position SummaryThe REGISTERED NURSE (RN) delivers care to residents ensuring all applicable laws, regulations and Company standards are met.Essential Functions Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in a long-term care facility. Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel. Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Wellness department. Evaluate resident's needs through ongoing assessment and revises care plan based on changes in resident's condition. Provide clinical supervision to LPN's, CNAs and/or Personal Care Aides. Chart appropriately and in a timely manner. Communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team. Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in residents' conditions, including diet and physical activity. Interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess resident's condition. Instruct individuals, families on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and develop health improvement programs. Prepare residents for, and assist with, examinations and treatments. Have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly. Help with all aspects and document requirements of the community QA program including monthly audits of resident wellness instructions for accuracy and implementation.Qualifications Possess a nursing diploma, AS or BS degree in nursing. Six months to one year of related experience. Must be currently registered/licensed with applicable state. Current valid documentation of successful completion of the American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Certification for Health Care Providers (BLS).
