CCSD is responsible for the treatment of medical and surgical patients, initiating lifesaving procedures and for providing emergency care.
Serves as reference and resource person for staff, patient and family.
Coordinates patient care with other departments.
Assumes responsibility for units' activities and evaluating the effectiveness of staff and unit performance.
Plans for meeting the needs of the patient, staff, physicians, and hospital.
Performs management duties for units under their supervision.
