Loan Repayment program!Primary Function: Delivers nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Provider.Duties and Responsibilities:Provides direction to the Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical AssistantsTriages patient phone calls and patient visitsProvides case managementProvides care to patients requiring nurse only visitsMaintains clean, safe orderly work environmentPerforms supportive duties to maintain efficient patient flowPrepares rooms and patients for and assists Medical Providers with examinations and proceduresPerforms routine diagnostic testsCollects and processes specimensPrepares and administers medications as directed by the health care providerReviews lab results and reports abnormal findings to the providersMaintains supplies for patient roomsParticipates in quality improvement activities.Communicates effectively with patients and staff.Maintains a professional manner in interacting with patients and staffMaintains the integrity of the medical recordMaintains documentation in logs as appropriateProvides patient educationPhysical Demands: Requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Evening work may be required.Minimum Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing. One year experience in an ambulatory health care setting. Computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Preferred Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
