Your role at BHSN: As a Registered Nurse you will provide health screening, coordination of health referrals, and work in close collaboration with prescribers and staff. What your day might look like: - Dispenses medication as prescribed by the psychiatrist/nurse practitioner
- Administers injectable medication per prescriber's order
- Provides health monitoring and PROS Health Assessments
- Participates in the development, writing and execution of the treatment plan
- Reviews health screening and makes appropriate recommendations
- Educates recipients/staff regarding pertinent medical issues/medication
- Ensures the security and inventory of all medications and nursing supplies
Your skills and qualifications: - NYS Department of Education Registered Professional Nurse
- CPR-certified
- Experience providing direct clinical service to the population served by the assigned clinical program is strongly preferred
- Ability to manage time effectively as well as to organize tasks
