Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our long-term care facility, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long-Term Care

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status and medical histories.
  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers and families.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Patient Education: Educate residents and their families on health management, medication use, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Supervision: Oversee and mentor nursing assistants and support staff, ensuring adherence to care standards.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long-Term Care

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
  • Experience: Previous experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR). Need a candidate with previous LTC Charge Nurse experience.

Physical Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long-Term Care

  • Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents as needed.
