Registered Nurse

A large network of care facilities in NYC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide ambulatory care to their patients. The RN in this position will provide clinical support to staff members, assist with the management of a caseload, perform patient assessments, and act as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable leader, capable of supervising LPNs and CNAs daily, and responsible for carrying out an individualized plan of care for the patients.

The base pay range for this position is $45 to $55 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, administer (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and record prescribed medications.
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments to doctors.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Assess patients' ability to do routine daily tasks.
• Assist patients with such basic needs like dressing, eating, and bathing, and encourages patients to do things for themselves.
• Recognize and manage geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory, and pain problems.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program
• NYS Nursing License and Registration
• BLS Certification
• ACLS/PALS Certification if applicable
