Oncology RN Job Description:

  • Provide compassionate care to patients in the Oncology, ER or PostOp Care unit
  • Nurse should have patient care experience with Vents, Trach, Tube Feeding and IV Administration
  • Nurse should posses Chemo & NIHSS Cert
  • Nurse should be BLS Certified, ACLS is a plus
  • Nurse should posses a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Utilize skills in Step-Down Care, Progressive Care Unit, and Medical Surgical
  • Implement Trauma Nursing Core Course and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit protocols
  • Participate in Neonatal Resuscitation Program when necessary
  • Contribute to Nursing Education and Telemetry monitoring
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for Care Planning and Labor & Delivery support, if necesssary
  • Work with Licensed Practical Nurses for Care Management
  • Respond to Emergency Care situations with quick and efficient Patient Assessment
  • Provide Acute Care services including Dialysis and Interventions
  • Monitor patients in the Intensive Care Unit, inlcuding wound care and blood pressure
  • Perform G-Tube, Vent, Trach, Chemo Care as necessary
  • Bathing, Activities of Daily Living, Glucose Testing as necessary
  • Medication managment, private duty care and ambulation care, as necessary
