Job Description: A New York City-based health services organization is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Labor & Delivery team in the Bronx. About the Opportunity:Schedule: 3 shifts per week and rotating weekendsHours: 7pm to 7:30amSetting: Acute CareDepartment: Labor & DeliveryEMR: EPIC Responsibilities:Assist the Physician or Midwife with all aspects of pregnancy and birthAssist the Surgeons during caesarian sectionsCare for women who experience complications with their pregnancies or birthing processesMonitor fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during laborCoach women, assist with any complications, and administer medications during birthAdminister IVs and medicationsProvide guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and infant careRecord and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes on patients/clients to ensure continuity of carePerform other duties, as needed Qualifications:2+ years of experience in a Labor & Delivery role / settingGraduate of an accredited School of NursingActive NYS Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBLS certificationNRP certificationIV Insertion, Phlebotomy and Conscious Sedation skills
