High Risk Antepartum cases include 6 to 41 weeks gestation. Conditions include PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy. Care for fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother with baby in NICU. This unit does not have newborns. Support sterile spec exams at the bedside. Experience with PCA Pumps, PICC/Central Lines, Syringe Pumps needed. Medication administration experience with Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate required. Must circulate for C-section. Work includes three weekend shifts per 6 weeks. Scrub requirements: Any color scrubs allowed. Advanced skills in IV Therapy, Phlebotomy, and maintaining central lines needed. Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, and Magnesium Sulfate therapy competency is necessary. All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scope of practice if needed.
