Assigning and coordinating staff to complete survey workload;* Providing effective supervision of Staff including completing Employee Evaluations, approving time sheets, providing feedback and accountability, which may include formal and informal verbal and written counseling;* Reviewing statement of deficiencies in accordance with Principles of Documentation and ensure that deficiencies are written at the correct regulation, the deficiency contains enough information to support deficient practice and is cited at the appropriate scope and severity;* Tracking the survey process from beginning to end within required deadlines; including conducting the survey, writing deficiencies, submission of the statement of deficiencies to the provider, approval of the Plan of Correction, and conducting the survey revisit to ensure compliance;* Representing the ACC and CLIA survey team, work with the other District/Program Managers, DHI Senior Management and promote the mission of the Bureau/CMS in the community;* Ensuring Pass all CMS requirements that are related to funding;* Traveling and assisting on surveys;* Attending out of state trainings/conferences.Who are the customers?* Internal and external State employees;* Centers for Medicare/Medicaid (CMS)Healthcare facilities and the public.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate has:* Analytical Thinking skills;* Effective Communication skills;* Technology Skills;* Prior investigative experience;* Experience and knowledge with training including on-line training and curriculum development programs;* Experience with Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and on-line meeting and recording systems;* Experience in effective supervision, staff development, staff retention, staff accountability, and training;* Regulation experience;* Public speaking experience.Minimum QualificationMust possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico OR eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements OR eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and two (2) years of management experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.Employment RequirementsMust possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.Working ConditionsOffice setting with extensive use of personal computer, telephone, fax, copier and other related office equipment that involves sitting, standing, bending, reaching, etc. to include lifting up to 30 pounds.
