Job Description:As a Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within a medical-surgical unit. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor patient vitals
- Perform invasive procedures such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs
- Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-surgery care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to strict nursing standards and protocols
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
