  • Performs nursing activities in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient's surgical experience at Crow Valley & Quad City Ambulatory Surgery Centers
  • Provides nursing care to the patient in the operating room during orthopedic surgical procedures, assisting the surgical team as needed
  • Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room, provides comfort and reassurance to the patient
  • Explains intraoperative phase routine procedures and care to the patient
  • Monitors the patient during surgery, and coordinates care throughout the process with other perioperative care personnel
  • Responsible for providing a safe environment for patient care in the operating room/procedure area
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Iowa & Illinois RN License is required
  • Previous OR and/or orthopedic experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
