A health services agency on Long Island is looking to add a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Pediatric OPWDD team at one of their residential facilities in Suffolk County. About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:30am to 4pm
- Setting: Residential Facility
- Patient Population: OPWDD
- Patient Population: 20 child caseload
Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) will:
- Serve as medical Liaison for IDT team and ensure proper medical follow-up
- Asses injuries/accidents to ensure individuals receive proper medical care
- Develop written plans for each person; modify nursing plan, as necessary
- Maintain medical records for each individual
- Participate as appropriate in planning and implementation of training of personnel
- Ensure proper medical follow-up through an on-call system
- Ensure all medication is administered and stored, as necessary
- Prepare monthly Medical Administration Records
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
