Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)Location: Denver, ColoradoPay: $35-52/hrWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in Denver. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and utilize your specialized nursing skills to serve various patient age groups, including adults, adolescents, geriatrics, and pediatrics. As a vital member of our surgical team, you will ensure smooth and efficient procedures in the operating room.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly functioning.
  • Assist with the post-procedure workflow, including cleaning the OR, organizing unused supplies, and setting up for subsequent procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
  • Supervise, teach, and mentor staff members based on their competency level, ensuring the effective delegation of tasks.
  • Rotate to other departments as needed, performing duties aligned with your skill set and competencies.
Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Colorado or an active multi-state RN license.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a perioperative (OR) setting is required.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (required within 6 months of hire).
    • CNOR certification (preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to rotate to other units and perform various duties as needed.
