No first-time travelers. License: Must have an active license in hand. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Must-Have: - Experience with use of Rapid Response Teams - Orthopedic and trauma experience - Specialization in pre-op and post-op orthopedics - Familiarity with EPIC systems Job Description: - Provide care for elective and/or trauma orthopedic patients. - Manage a nurse-patient ratio of 1:6, with the potential to stretch to 1:7. - Perform total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs. - Utilize safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic-specific tools such as CPM, knee immobilizers, bone foam, and others. - Work every third weekend and holidays as needed. - No on-call duties are required. - Completion of 16 hours of orientation. Additional Information: - COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions only. - Compliance requires a complete file by the specified time before the start. - Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted. - All travelers may be required to float across campuses if needed. - Education and background checks will be conducted, with strict compliance to guidelines. - Orientation includes non-billable module hours which vary by unit.
