Job Summary:Provides comprehensive care to children admitted to the hospital on our dedicated pediatric unit for various medical conditions. Ensures the patients receives the highest quality of care during their hospital stay.

- Provides family-centered care
- Conducts thorough assessments of pediatric patients to determine their medical needs and monitor their progress
- Works closely with our board-certified pediatric hospitalists and child life specialist to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance
- Maintains hospital and unit specific competencies
- Advocate for the needs and best interests of pediatric patients, ensuring they receive appropriate and compassionate care

This 10-bed unit is staffed with highly trained and qualified pediatric inpatient nurses, physicians, and support staff. Being a pediatric inpatient nurse plays a crucial role in improving patient outcomes during their hospital stay. The unit is supported by strong leadership who are committed to fostering a positive work environment, enhancing the quality of patient care, and promoting continuous learning and development among staff.
Experience Level:- At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience preferred
Position Requirements:*Courses offer through the hospital and required within 6 months of hire*
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
