Unit Description R5 is a unit that specializes in Oncology and End of Life care. We work closely with our Palliative care team, whose office is located on R5. Oncology care ranges from, symptom management, radiation, Chemo (IV and oral), medication side effects and Oncological Emergencies. When starting on R5 you will not be required to hang IV chemo for the first 6 months to one year. When you become comfortable with the R5 population we will train you in chemo administration. We currently have a limited part time position available. Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of New York required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
