Job requires knowledge, skill and ability to provide care for neo-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population.Accountable to the patient and family for care provided and to the Director of Radiology Services for the totality of work performanceResponsibilities
- Participates in Radiology Invasive Procedures providing patient care, provider assistance and technologist support
- Performs PICC line placement and assessment
- Promotes patient and visitor safety
- Implements care in a knowledgeable , skillful, consistent and continuous manner to ensure the delivery of quality care
- Provides patient care, performs treatments and procedures, and uses equipment appropriately and according to specific standards, procedures and protocols.
- Assesses the health status of patients and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Administers and documents medications given according to LMH P/P.Performs Medication Reconciliation as required.
- Evaluates the outcome of patient care.
- Able to recognize and respond in a critical situation or arrest.
- Assists team members with patient care
- Demonstrates ability to use all channels or communication to address inter- and intra-departmental concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth.
- Perform functions of the EMR including procedure documentation and charge capture
- Contributes to the achievement of excellence in healthcare through the quality and caring values of LMH
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Current state license
- Basic knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment preferred
- Certified in CPR
- Ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a professional role model and function independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in IV access skills.
