New graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply!As an RN you will be responsible for the evaluation and delivery of quality health care services to children and youth, and work to maintain high standards of quality both individually and in collaboration with the rest of the Hillside Nursing staff.Responsibilities:Perform assessments on clients with illness, injury, or health related/psychological concernsReport any significant finding to the appropriate medical provider and guardian, when appropriateImplement the prescribed intervention methodTranscribe all information accurately and efficiently and carry out orders for treatment as medically prescribedAdminister medication safely, accurately, and per NYS and agency guidelinesMonitor for signs of adverse reactions to medications and/or treatmentsEffectively triage phone calls regarding health-related concerns of youth in careSupport other members of the nursing team to assure quality care is delivered in an effective and timely mannerOversee and supervise care provided by the LPN and other health office staffProvide assessments, monitor and care for the youth in the event of a physical restraintAdminister first-aid during emergency situations and coordinate patient care until EMS arrives or the youth is transported to an emergency departmentThis job description is not exhaustive.
