Job Overview Registered Nurse (RN): Join our client s healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions. You will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities by coordinating care, providing medical referrals, and conducting staff training. Compensation: $55 - $63/hour Location: Bronx, NY (Travel to Multiple Locations) Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible Day Shifts)Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse:
- Healthcare Coordination: Serve on interdisciplinary teams, arranging and coordinating healthcare services.
- Staff Training: Conduct training for staff on various health-related topics such as medical administration, hygiene, and infection control.
- Disease Control: Identify, assess, and control communicable diseases, reporting to consulting physicians and implementing preventive measures.
- Medical Documentation: Prepare and maintain medical documentation and administer medications when appropriate.
- Supervision: Supervise and train Licensed Practical Nurses and less experienced RNs.
- Emergency Response: Provide immediate first aid and attend to emergency needs.
- Home Visits and Appointments: Transport persons served to appointments and visit them at home as requested.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience as an RN in community-based health services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Licensing: Valid NYS RN License and current registration.
- Certifications: CPR Certification.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Equipment: Knowledge of equipment used by persons receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices.
