Location: U.S Army National Guard, Youth Camp in Gilead, Maine

Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: Services shall be from 13 July 2024 to 26 July 2024. between the hours of 0700 (7am) - 2100 (9pm) with on-call availability 24/7, except on recognized US holidays
Duties/Requirements: The health care worker shall:
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
- Valid Maine Registered Nurse License
- Possess basic computer skills competency.
- Be in good standing and under no sanction or suspension listing by the Federal Government.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain clinical workload and productivity.
- Adhere to Joint Commission standards, legal regulations, and health care protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities.
- Practice aseptic techniques and comply with infection control guidelines.
- Participate in emergency situations and implement safety procedures.
- Attend required annual training classes and in-service training sessions.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain records.
- Comply with HIPAA privacy and security policies.
- Participate in Emergency Preparedness Plan drills and actual emergencies.
- Possess and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Clinical Duties:
- Perform a full range of RN duties, including triage, patient assessment, monitoring, and treatment.
- Formulate and execute goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnosis.
- Provide treatment, discharge instructions, and patient education.
- Assess patients systematically and create a safe environment.
- Assist in planning and provide clinical guidance to other staff members.
- Demonstrate competency in medication administration and phlebotomy.
- Participate actively in staff development and personnel evaluation.
- Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Provide counseling and health teaching to patients and their families.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new personnel.
- Collaborate in the review of clinic standing operating procedures.
- Serve as the first-line primary care team member for a designated patient population.
- Ensure standards of ambulatory care nursing practice are met.
Experience: - At least 1 year of nursing experience in Pediatrics, schools or Camp Nursing
