General Summary of Position

About MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's MedicalOncology - 3 Bles

3 Bles is a 20-bed adult Medicine and Oncology Unit.Clinical nurses on 3 Bles provide expert care for acutely ill oncologypatients, specifically solid tumor. They also provide care for complex medicalpatients with a wide range of diagnoses. The nurses on 3 Bles are committedto cura personalis, care for the whole person, and actively involvefamilies in the care of their patients throughout all stages of treatment. All nurses on 3 Bles are certified to administerChemotherapy and Biotherapy. Nurses on 3Bles are active in collaborative governance, at the unit level and throughoutthe hospital. Both Oncology Units, 3 Bles and 2 Bles, share a Practice Councilwhere nurses work together to improve clinical practice and promoteprofessional development on both units.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $38.00 - $63.30
