JobDescription:

The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in theOperating Room. Organizes and administers individualized, professional patientcare to patients within the Operating Room. Provides nursing care in accordancewith the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital andAORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards. Participates in patient teaching; incorporatesthe needs and behavior of the patient's specific age/cultural groups inplanning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN License
• BSN preferred
• BLS Certification required,ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if candidate does not already possesscertification
• 1 year of acute care, two yearssurgical experience preferred
• Must be able to communicateeffectively, and work closely with all physicians and staff
• Strong organizational skills
