Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionJOB SUMMARY:The registered nurse will identify, provide for, and accept responsibility for the fulfillment of resident's total nursing needs. This includes all nurse practice activities up to and including assessments, medication administration and monitoring, documentation, all while ensuring the provision of person centered care.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Coordinate and delegate care of the residents so that compliance is assured with local, State and Federal regulations and administrative policies.
- Assures quality of care adhering to best practices around inflection prevention and control provided by the nursing department.
- Responsible for routine checks of residents who are ill or have problems, noting any changes in condition and assisting staff in responding to these changes.
- Conveys accurate and adequate assessment information to physicians, residents, responsible parties and staff as appropriate.
- 8. Performs medical treatments and evaluates their effectiveness.
- Responsible for the support, development and supervision of certified nursing assistant and medication administration assistant personnel.
- Investigates any incident report or error in procedure through the quality assurance and process improvement methodology.
- Attains and maintains adequate personnel and supplies in the nursing department.
- Assesses resident care needs and assists in the development of individual plans of care as needed.
- Changes staff assignments as needed and attains replacements as needed.
- Participates in committee meetings and interdepartmental meetings that align with Quality Assurance Process Improvement Standards.
- Will follow all department safety rules.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota.
- Active CPR
- Knowledge and/or experience in geriatrics.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience with state and federal regulations.
- Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.
- Ability to relate well to all individuals.
- Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.
- Ability to adapt to change.
Salary Description Starting at $37.98 per hour
