Job Overview:

Our Endoscopy Unit supports two admission areas, three pre-op areas, four PACU beds, and has three procedure rooms. As a per diem, you will support coverage as needed. This per diem role does not require on-call shifts.

Qualifications

* Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required

* ASN or BSN required

* AHA BLS prior to start date required

* Minimum 1+ YOE in Endoscopy required; additional Med Surg experience a plus!

Essential Functions:

The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
