Description:
Here at Saint Mary's Hospital Hematology/Oncology Dept. you will be part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up including, but not limited to: Laboratory, radiation therapy, genetics, clinical research, social work, and pharmacy.
What you will do
Practices safe administration of infusions, injections, and transfusions. Administers chemotherapy/Biotherapy, perform patient assessments, provides symptom management and patient and family education.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
Licensure : Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
Certification : BLS required. ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy card strongly preferred.
Work Schedule : Full time 40 hours Monday Thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm- no weekends
Additional Info:
Scheduling patients for treatments and triaging of patient phone calls.
Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion therapies on an outpatient basis.
Collaboration with referring physician offices to coordinate one time or ongoing therapies.
Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively while continuing to provide the safest, highest quality of care.
Other duties as assigned.
