Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week), Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Location: Lynchburg VA, 24501Position SummaryRegistered Nurses (RN) working in the Horizon Wellness Clinics are responsible for the overall medical care of assigned individuals, including the service delivery of basic nursing assessments; delivery of client/family education and diagnostic procedures; consultation with physicians; and carrying out of doctor's orders.Required Education and Experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or appropriate multi-state license. BSN preferred.
- One year of experience providing nursing services as an RN is required.

- Knowledge of community mental health and public health to provide advocacy and enhance an individual's treatment and access to community resources; Knowledge of nursing best practices.
- Knowledge of the principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature related to mental health, physical health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse.
- Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holidays, etc.) as required.Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver's license. May be called upon to travel to any Horizon worksite; transport clients, and provide services to clients at other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and Horizon meetings may require travel to a variety of Horizon sites.
