Reports to the Lab Manager, Lab Director, Division Director, and OB/GYN Leadership. The Associate would participate in lab coverage on a weekend and holiday rotation.Perform andrology procedures such as sperm cryopreservation and thawing, sperm vitality testing, retrograde sperm preparationPerform daily assays for serum hormone determinationsPerform daily semen testing & processing for therapeutic intrauterine inseminationPerform daily diagnostic semen testingComplete patient reports & enter data into electronic medical record and clinical filing systemMaintain log of patient results to ensure correct patient accessioningMaintain lab patient & billing databases and sperm tank inventoryDocument all corrective actions when test systems deviate from the lab's established performance specifications & notify the Lab DirectorPerform proficiency testing in the same manner as patient's specimens for both the andrology & endocrine labsWeekend and holiday coverage is required on a rotating schedule.Remote alarm response participation required on a rotating schedule for 24-hour laboratory coverage.Embryology lab responsibilities include quality assurance and quality control requirements. The Associate is responsible to ensure the environments are optimal for the safe handling, viability, testing, and growth monitoring of all reproductive specimens including oocytes, zygotes, and embryos.
