As a Unit Manager, you'll oversee daily operations in your nursing unit, supervise and direct staff RNs, and implement best practices to uphold commitment to high-quality healthcare delivery. This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive benefits!Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.Job Description:Coordinates the care of Residents through collaboration with other departments.Communicates with families regarding the Resident's plan of care and any changes in the condition of the Resident.Receives and communicates information to the staff and keeps Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of needs and current developments.Evaluates rotation of staff and adjusts section assignments as needed.Promotes positive public relations for the nursing unit and department.Responsible for conducting monthly meetings and educating staff on new policies relating to the nursing department.Oversees the implementation of new policies and procedures and periodically reviews current procedures, working in collaboration with the Director of Staff Development as needed.Directs volunteers assigned to the unit with the assistance of the Registered Nurse.Qualifications:Current New York State license as a Registered Professional NurseBachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferredWorked in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) for at least 2 years in a supervisory or charge capacity.Strong understanding of long-term care regulations, standards, and best practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary teamProficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare softwareDemonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered careBenefits/Perks:Includes accrued vacation days, sick days, and holidaysParticipation in 403 (b)Voluntary benefits: short-term disability, life insurance, cancer insurance, pet insuranceDiscounted memberships: Plum benefits, NYSC GymPay for work-related eligible commuter expenses with pre-tax dollars
