Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital. The hospital offers a variety of services for a culturally diverse community, including Bariatric Surgical Service, Ambulatory Care Center, Women's Health Center, Wound Care Center, and Chemical Dependence Unit. Our busy on-site full-service pharmacy provides prescription services to discharged, emergency department, and clinic patients as well as employees.We're looking for Registered Nurses with a current New York State license. Our ideal will have than be quick-thinking, with strong assessment skills, and the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will provide care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adult patients.
- Assessing patient conditions.
- Administering medications.
- Changing dressings.
- Monitoring patient vital signs.
- Charting and keeping records.
- Providing patients with support and education
Requirements - NYS RN LICENSE REQUIRED
- MINIMUM 2 YEARS MED/SURG EXP PREFFERED
- ACLS/BCLS REQUIRED
- GOOD CRITCAL THINKING, ORGANIZATIONAL, INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILS REQUIRED
- BSN PREFERRED
