Join the exceptional Beacon Award Winning Nursing team on MedStarGeorgetown University Hospital's Medical/Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (S5-2)in the recently opened Verstandig Pavilion, situated on Georgetown University'scampus. The cutting-edge Verstandig Pavilion is equipped with all-privateinpatient rooms and state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensuring an environmentthat prioritizes excellence in patient care. The Medical/Surgical IMC shares afloor with its own Intensive Care Unit (ICU), promoting seamless patientthroughput between different acuities.Clinical Nurses on our 28-bed adult Medical-SurgicalIntermediate Care Unit provide expert care for acutely ill patients who have adiverse range of medical and surgical diagnoses. They treat patients aftercomplex open and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries of the lung andesophagus as well as AAA repairs and jaw repairs. Medical diagnoses includeend-stage renal disease, end-stage liver failure, chest pain, cardiacarrhythmias, sepsis, CHF, COPD, and GI bleeds. All beds are equipped to provide continuous cardiac and pulse oximetrymonitoring. *Various scheduling options available*

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $38.00 - $63.30
