An RN works as a team member under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor and Director of Nursing.*RESPONSIBILITIES:** Work closely with RN Supervisor to ensure the best possible functions of the assigned unit* Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.* Prepares and administers, and records prescribed medications* Records patients medical information and vital signs.* Assesses the patient s ability to do routine daily tasks.* Recognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory, and pain problems.* Prepares equipment and aids physicians during the examination and treatment of patients* Communicate with family members regarding patient* Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.* Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.*REQUIREMENTS:** Degree from an accredited school of nursing* Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York requires* Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred* Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable* Strong customer service skills and compassion*APPLY ONLINE OR SEND YOUR RESUME TO:*Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Hopewell3 Summit CourtFishkill, NY 12524*CALL:(845) ###-#### Ex: 5225 for more information**ABOUT US:*Taconic Health Care is a portfolio of three health care facilities in New York state, including: Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Beacon in Beacon; Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Hopewell in Fishkill; and Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Ulster.
