Crouse's Surgical Center/Operating Room (OR) team is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients of all ages receiving inpatient or outpatient surgeries and endoscopic procedures with anesthesia.

Pay Range: $33.00 - $47.86/hour.

up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs!

Available Schedule(s):

  • Full time, 8 hour shifts - 7:00am-3:30pm; 11:00am-7:30pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 11:00pm-7:30am, with rotation of weekends, holidays and on-call
  • Full time, 10 hour shifts - 7:00am-5:30pm; 9:00am-7:30pm; 1:00pm-11:30pm; 11:00pm-7:30am, with rotation of weekends, holidays and on-call
  • Weekender - 7:00am-7:30pm; 11:00am-7:30pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 11:00pm-7:30am

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model.
  • Carries out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care.
  • Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
  • Provides appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluates effectiveness and revises as appropriate.
  • Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay.
  • Utilizes and engages in evidence-based practice to deliver quality patient care.
  • Demonstrates characteristics and skills that promote critical thinking in clinical problem-solving situations.

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements:

  • Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
    • For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor's of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.
  • One (1) year of operating room or Surgical Nursing experience
  • Certification in a specialty area preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
