Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.

Provides critical support to the department and to surgical leadership for coordinating aspects of specialized areas of practice within surgery scheduling. Coordinates scheduling of all surgical cases/procedures, while managing the patient flow/experience, establishing customer relationships, and ensuring quality and efficiency in hospital and surgical processes. Makes assignments considering acuity/complexity, staff ability/competence, turnover, and skill mix/availability within the established guidelines. Collaborates with other members of the leadership team, monitors, and evaluates workflow in accordance with established policies/procedures. Performs unit/environmental rounds and assesses safety issues and gaps in compliance. Reports/corrects deficiencies. Leads unit initiatives and process improvements towards metric goals.

Job Information:

  • This opportunity is for a full time RN Coordinator position with the Operating Room
  • Five (5) years of experienc in specialty or specific service line, required
  • One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferred

Qualifications
  • Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in Florida
  • ASN, required
  • BSN, preferred
  • Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Current PALS Certification through American Heart Association
