Registered Nurse - Transplant Responsibilities/Requirements:
Shift: 5 x 8s 7:30 - 16:30p (M - F)
No Call Required, No Float Required, No Weekend Shifts
EPIC experience is required.
REQUIRED CERTS: BCLS, Malignant Hematology exp. EPIC
PREFERRED CERTS: ONS, BMTCN, Microsoft Office & Excel exp.
Minimum Experience Required: 1 Year, Must have Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator experience. Do not SCREEN applicants with only inpatient BMT/Oncology
This particular Coordinator role is niche, and a traveler really should come in having Transplant/Cellular Therapy Coordinator experience as a MUST!!
For the SPU:
Patient Age Group: Adults
Average Daily Census 5-6 transplant or cellular therapy patients
Unit Systems: EPIC, SBAR, no direct med administration
Communication: weekly transplant and cellular therapy virtual meetings approx. 1hr in length
Patient Diagnoses:
*Malignant Hematology. Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Stem Cell Transplant specific diagnoses
Oncology experience whether outpatient or inpatient is key for this position. A Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Coordinator will have oncology experience because a bone marrow transplant is a therapy for patients with blood
cancer. What we ultimately need is a nurse with Transplant Coordinator experience.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Malignant Hematology, close collaboration with providers, outpatient clinic, inpatient and cellular therapy and apheresis units. Role is care coordination for patients eligible for autologous stem cell transplant and/or cellular therapy(CAR T). A nurse coordinator is assigned to each patient prior to treatment and helps plan the necessary testing and treatment needed, provide education to patient and family, communicates plan to clinical and provider teams, collects and documents data in preparation for transplant. The coordinator also develops the transplant schedule. The nurse coordinator is the patient's primary contact prior to transplant.

Transplant Pay Rate:
$41 HR X 40 HRS = $1,640
$903 Weekly Housing Stipend
$483 Weekly Meals Stipend
$3,026 Weekly gross
