Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Urgent Care Location: Syracuse, NY Shift Type: Day Shifts per Week: 5 Job Description:
  • As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Urgent Care unit will provide immediate, high-quality patient care to individuals with acute illnesses or injuries. Your role is to triage, assess, and treat patients efficiently while collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
  • Triage patients according to urgency and medical need, ensuring that all patients receive timely care.
  • Perform thorough assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and presenting symptoms.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Provide wound care, splinting, and other basic emergency interventions.
  • Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Monitor patients' progress, and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Assist in the coordination of discharge planning and referrals for further care when needed.
Requirements:Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Urgent Care or Emergency Room settings.
Licensure:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care effectively.
