Assumes primary clinical responsibility for all respiratory care modalities specific to his or her clinical area.* Involved in supervision of Respiratory Therapy Technicians and students enrolled in respiratory care programs.* May be required to exercise considerable independent clinical judgement in the respiratory care of patients under the direct or indirect supervision of a physician* Participates in orientation as well as continuing education as mandated by New York State and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of practice expertise.* Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.*Education and Licensure: ** Graduation from a CoARC accredited program in respiratory care with an Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree desirable.* *Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) *with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required *and *licensed by the State of New York or practicing under limited permit as a Respiratory Therapist.*Compensation:** *Pay Range:* $32.00 - $53.70 per hour* *Sign on bonus: *$10,000 for full time hires* Shift differential* Pay based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
