This position offers a unique opportunity to receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals in the field of vascular technology.Key Responsibilities:Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge.Learn how to prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and proceduresConduct patient clinical assessment under the supervision of our vascular ultrasound techs and help perform the diagnostic medical sonography examination ordered by the supervising physician in accordance with professional and facility protocolsLearn how to apply independent, professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic sonography proceduresBe able to apply independent judgment during the sonography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination imagesIdentify and document any limitations to the sonography examinationAssist and learn how to review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare preliminary reports for providersLearn how to perform quality control procedures to ensure that the ultrasound equipment operates at optimal levels and manage a preventive maintenance program for ultrasound equipmentAssist with the daily operation of the sonography facilityQualifications:Current student of an ultrasound program or formal training programPlans to complete the RVT examStrong interest in Vascular & Vascular SonographyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.Ability to work and prosper in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.Completion of relevant coursework in anatomy, physiology, or medical imaging is a plus.Benefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Assistance with certification and licensing requirements.Potential reimbursement for RVT Exam#WellesleyHP
